Video and Audio performance in all of our modules is the highest quality designed for the most demanding broadcast applications. All Card Modules have integrated microprocessors which facilitate remote control, status monitoring and error reporting. All CardModules are SNMPv2 compliant. LYNX also provides a comprehensive control system, which scales economically from a single rack to potentially hundreds of racks located in different locations. Furthermore the control system is 100% compatible with its sister product line the Series 3000 MiniModules. Both sub systems can coexist in the same centralized control system.
Control and Monitoring:
Series 5000 CardModules can be used without the optional control system. All have integral dip switches, push buttons and some have dot matrix displays to facilitate module set up and local control. However, all CardModules can be integrated into our central control system. Simply adding a controller to the rack will add remote control and status monitoring capability to all installed modules. The micro controller on each module supports local configuration using the integrated switches and continuously monitors the operation of the device. Basic failure conditions are reported to the front alarm LED, (which is visible through the rack cover). When integrated into the control system each module has an associated GUI with on screen sliders, buttons and drop down menu selections for all aspects of control. The control software runs on a standard Windows PC. Module settings are automatically stored in the Module internal flash ram where these settings are retained until changed or erased [even through power cycles and when the module is removed from the rack].
GUI layout is simple and intuitive and navigation is done using a standard windows folder tree. Error logs are maintained for each module connected to the system. The control system not only provides full remote control, but also continuous status monitoring with SNMP error reporting capability. ( SNMP requires R CT 5030 Master Controller). All LYNX products are SNMPv2 compliant
Series 5000 CardModules use identical control hardware and software to the LYNX Series 3000 MiniModule product range. Both products can coexist within the same control environment.
